Thompson has been appointed by the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) to serve as a member of the Advisory Council of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Board of Directors for a term ending August 2027.

Thompson has been appointed to serve a four-year term on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), a nonprofit organization representing public service commissions that regulate telecommunications, energy, and water utilities in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Working closely with the organization’s executive committee, the NARUC board exercises vigilant oversight of the association’s finances, ensuring transparency and accountability.
