DCPSC requests proposals for Solar Aggregation and Advanced Inverter Pilot Project

The Commission is pleased to announce the issuance of Request for Proposals (RFP) No. PSC-23-09, seeking projects that can demonstrate the benefits of advanced inverter equipment, including communications and the expansion of solar hosting capacity. The maximum amount of funding available for the project is $3 million, which may be awarded to one or more bidders.

DCPSC asks utility consumers to conserve electricity

The Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia (Commission) is asking D.C. residents and businesses to conserve electricity. Due to extremely cold weather, electricity demand is expected to increase in the District and surrounding areas, resulting in a strained electrical grid. PJM Interconnection, the electricity grid operator for 65 million people in 13 states and the District of Columbia, issued an advisory to conserve electricity.
