Overview
The DCPSC hosts an annual legislative-style Supplier Diversity Hearing and information session where representatives from Pepco, Washington Gas, and Verizon detail their utility’s practices related to the use of diverse suppliers in the District of Columbia over the past year.

The DCPSC Advisory Council on Utility Supplier and Workforce Diversity was established in 2019 to identify best practices for diversity, equity and inclusion in contracting and employment related to the public utility sector. Washington Gas, Pepco, Verizon, and the DCPSC agreed on terms set forth in a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) related to the use of diverse suppliers in the District. The annual Supplier Diversity Hearing is an integral part of that MOU.
