The core of the Commission’s mission is serving the public interest. As the regulator, we ensure that energy and telecom providers offer safe, reliable, and quality services at just and reasonable rates.

The Office of Consumer Services engages with District residents and community groups so the Commission can understand their concerns and share updates our consumer programs and initiatives.

Throughout the year, the Commission supports several community-oriented programs, initiatives, partnerships, and recognition opportunities.

The Advisory Council on Utility Supplier and Workforce Diversity is focused on improving diversity and inclusion among utility suppliers in the District.
