Please welcome Steven Schwark, our new Public Affairs Specialist in the Office of External Affairs. Steve previously managed social media and other digital communications projects/activities at Truth Initiative, a large nonprofit helping to prevent tobacco and e-cigarette use among young people, as well as at the American Psychological Association.
Steve graduated from Miami University with a degree in interdisciplinary studies. An award-winning homebrewer, he’s a native of Chicago but has been in the DC area for more than 13 years. Steve has volunteered at the Smithsonian Institution for most of that time and recently bought a home where he lives with his wife Emily and cat Coby.
