Hicham Mokhtari

Hicham Mokhtari joined the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia on July 13, 2015 as a Consumer Services Specialist in the Office of Consumer Services. Mr. Mokhtari is a native of Morocco and speaks five languages (English, Spanish, French, Moroccan Arabic and Standard Arabic) and has lived mainly in the Washington, D.C. area. 

Prior to joining the Commission, Mr. Mokhtari served as a Program Support Specialist and Language Access Coordinator for the D.C. Government Office of the Tenant Advocate for seven years. While at the Office of the Tenant Advocate, Mr. Mokhtari was responsible for providing case management and ensuring that District tenants are aware and informed of their rights and responsibilities under the District of Columbia housing laws and regulations. Also, Mr. Mokhtari was responsible for overseeing the agency’s implementation and compliance with the District of Columbia Language Access Act. 

Mr. Mokhtari's hobbies include playing tennis and spending time with his family.
