DCPSC Promotes EPA's Fix a Leak Week from March 18th - March 24th
The DCPSC is reminding District residents to participate in Fix-A-Leak Week, March 18 to 24, 2019.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's WaterSense initiative promotes water efficiency and conservation by reminding all Americans to check their household fixtures and irrigation systems for leaks.
Common household leaks are responsible for more than 1 trillion gallons of water wasted each year.
State utility commissions, including the DCPSC have joined the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) in the annual observance by reaching out to their communities in an effort to provide important resources and information to help individuals and communities become more water efficient.
The EPA’s WaterSense website has videos, leak detection guides and more information to help locate costly leaks — indoors and outside.
