DCPSC Staff Participates in the NARUC Winter Policy Summit

The DCPSC was in full force at the Winter Policy Summit hosted by the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners from February 10th to 13th. Each year, Commissioners from all 50 States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands meet to discuss the latest policy updates related to utility regulation and to hear from an array of speakers from federal agencies, industry, and advocacy organizations.

The Policy Summit comes on the heels of each Commissioner receiving key NARUC appointments. Chairman Willie L. Phillips was appointed to serve on the NARUC Board of Directors and as Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Supplier and Workforce Diversity. Commissioner Richard A. Beverly was appointed to the Committee on Critical Infrastructure, which was established after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Commissioner Greer J. Gillis was appointed to the Gas Committee and International Relations Committee.

The Commission is proud to support NARUC as well as represent the residents of the District of Columbia.
