By Order No. 22004, the Commission directed Washington Gas Light Company(“WGL”) to prepare materials to present at a technical conference on the topic “Best Methods for Leak Detection”, including responses to stakeholders’ filed comments.

The technical conference shall address “the most effective methods, both in terms of technology and procedures, for detecting natural gas leaks in urban environments,” including “both current practices and innovative approaches that may enhance accuracy and efficiency in leak detection.”2 WGL’s presentation shall include consideration of questions, concerns, and best practice recommendations raised by the parties in comments filed by July 31, 2024.
