Teresa Johnson

The Public Service Commission Welcomes Teresa Johnson as a Consumer Outreach Assistant

Teresa Johnson joined the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia on March 18, 2019, as a Consumer Outreach Assistant in the Office of Consumer Services.

Prior to joining the Commission, Ms. Johnson served as a Customer Service Representative at the DC Department of Parks & Recreation (DPR), under the Department of Employment Services program “Learn, Earn, Advance and Prosper” better known as the LEAP program. Before working at LEAP, Ms. Johnson also served as an Administrative Assistant at The American Institute for Medical & Biological Engineering.

Ms. Johnson is a native Washingtonian and lived in Washington, D.C. all her life. She is most proud of being a stay at home mom, schooling her daughter, and being a foster parent. In addition, she has spent many years volunteering her services with causes such as Women in Recovery, and Homelessness. This includes being on the Board of Directors for over ten years with the Mt. Carmel House, a homeless shelter.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, traveling, and attending concerts.
