EVENT DETAILS

Get ready for a fantastic evening of community, connections, and celebration at Sycamore & Oak!

Join the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia for a free, family-friendly event wrapping up the 2026 District of Columbia Energy Action Summit and kicking off the Commission's Summer Ready DC campaign.

About the Summit

The District of Columbia Energy Action Summit is a two-day event dedicated to addressing rising energy costs and expanding access to consumer assistance. After a full day of high-level policy discussions on Day One, we are taking the energy conversation out of the conference room and into the community.

Day Two bridges the gap between policy and direct neighborhood impact. Come hang out, meet your neighbors, and enjoy some great entertainment as we officially kick off the Summer Ready DC campaign. Whether you're looking for practical ways to save money on your next utility bill or just want a fun Friday night out with the family, there is something here for everyone!

Please note that a separate registration is required for Day One of the summit.

What to Expect

  • Chat directly with representatives from up to 25 local organizations, including Pepco, Washington Gas, DC Water, and Electrify DC. Whether you need help with a bill, want to sign up for assistance programs, or just want to learn some easy weatherization hacks, we've got you covered.
  • Bring the kids! We’ll have face painting, henna, and caricature artists ready to go to keep the energy high all evening.
  • Enjoy free concessions like fresh popcorn and cotton candy while you explore, and be sure to check out the amazing local food vendors on-site at the Sycamore & Oak village.
